As Indian-origin Rishi Sunak takes over as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, well wishes pour in. He addressed his country for the first time as Prime Minister on Tuesday. Following his first address, Twitter users have been on the lookout for small details. A tweet from Larry the Downing Street cat recently went viral. It depicts Sunak giving a speech at the podium, with the cat visible in the background.

Larry the cat is pictured sitting beside a street light while Sunak delivers his first address as UK's New PM. "My old pal Faisal Islam made sure to get an angle featuring the real boss around here," the Cabinet Office's "Chief Mouser" wrote on Twitter.

Larry is a domestic cat who was appointed Chief Mouser to the United Kingdom Cabinet Office at 10 Downing Street in 2011. Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office is the official resident cat at 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom's residence and executive office in London.

Sunak became the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on Tuesday after meeting King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.

He is the third leader of the United Kingdom in seven weeks, having won a Tory leadership election triggered by Truss' resignation. He is also the UK's youngest Prime Minister in over two centuries, having taken office a day after being elected the Conservative Party's new leader in a historic leadership election.
