Kim Jong-Un Lookalike Gatecrashes Australian PM’s Election Campaign Event | WATCH

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Australian senate candidate and Chinese government critic Drew Pavlou said he had previously discussed Howard X's visit to Chisholm.

New Delhi: Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s election campaign saw a twist on Friday as a person who dressed up like North Korean President Kim Jong Un gatecrashed his event dodging the security. The incident was reported by Bloomberg which said that the individual was a lookalike of the North Korean leader.

After PM Morrison left the venue, this person entered the venue and interacted with the journalists. He then introduced himself as Howard X and said, “Thank you very much. Gladys Liu is the communist candidate for Australia.” He was then interrupted by Nick Creevey, an aide to Morrison who asked him to leave, reported India Today.

"Excuse me, you are going to have to leave. This is the most offensive thing I have ever seen in a campaign,” said Nick.

To which the impersonator responded, “Excuse me, you don't tell the supreme leader what to do. I support Gladys Liu."

Following the interaction, the impersonator left. He was later identified as Lee Howard Ho Wun who was detained and questioned by the Singapore police in 2018 for reaching days ahead of the summit between the North Korean leader and then US President Donald Trump.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Australian senate candidate and Chinese government critic Drew Pavlou said he had previously discussed Howard X's visit to Chisholm.

After the gatecrash event, Pavlou wrote on his Twitter, “This is actually one of the best things we've ever managed. Love you, Howard, you beautiful genius.”

The impersonator was later questioned by the Australian police.

Elections in Australia are due on May 21.
