IndiGo Employee Caught 'Throwing' Musical Instrument In Viral Video, Airline Initiates Probe
One of the airport staff picks up a musical instrument kept in a hard case and throws it inside the luggage van. Two other musical instruments kept there are also loaded in a similar fashion.
A video of baggage handlers throwing musical instruments into a luggage carrier of an IndiGo flight has gone viral. The incident has come at a time when the airlines is under fire for a cabin crew getting engaged in a heated argument with a passenger on an Istanbul-Delhi flight.
Taking to his Instagram account, Sufi singer Bismil posted a video of an IndiGo employee ‘throwing’ his musical instrument inside the cargo and said it is heartbreaking how the musical instruments are treated by airline staff.
The video opens to show a van of the airline parked to load the luggages kept at the airport. Soon one of the airport staff picks up a musical instrument kept in a hard case and throws it inside the van. Two other musical instruments kept there are also loaded in a similar fashion into the luggage carrier.
"That's how IndiGo treats our instruments. Instruments are the most precious thing for any artist and it feels really sad that how Indigo is throwing them like trash," the caption of the post read
"We had literally told them that please deal the instruments with care and paid 30K extra for our extra baggages. All my fellow artists, please be careful when you give your bags to IngiGo," the singer added.

The Airlines has, however, launched an investigation into the viral video. The airline also assured that there was no damage reported to the musical instrument.
Since being posted, the Instagram post accumulated several comments.
"Hey should have proper systems for handling luggage and especially fragile items. Even my makeup vanity at times along with lights is mishandled by the staff. @indigo.6e pls create good systems for managing the luggage delivery and handling with care," wrote one user.
"This is really humiliating..every time we got these videos on social media but they are like daalte raho post hum nie sunne wale…they have to understand these are not fill of clothes, these baggage are fill of our hard earned money, futures, and emotions too," wrote another user.
"This is how all airlines handle baggage these days.. Not just indigo," wrote a third.
