Delhi Police's Video On Perils Of Texting While Driving Is A Lesson For All. WATCH

Delhi police has often come up with unique ideas to spread the message of safe driving. It has also taken the help of various social media platforms to spread awareness among people driving recklessly. Their latest share is a clip about texting while driving. The video shared on the microblogging site Twitter shows how fatal the action can be.

The clip starts with montage of videos in which people are seen falling down or bumping into things while texting and walking. After a while it shows a lady meet with a fatal accident while driving a car as she was looking at her phone.

The video shared on Twitter and captioned in Hindi, when translated read, "Look somewhere, aim somewhere' can be dangerous. While driving, keep the focus only on the road, not on the mobile.' 

After being shared, the clip has garnered over 15k views and several comments showing concerns. Some of the users have sought stricter action against people caught violating the traffic norms.

"Me v ese hi krta hu kbhi kbhi …. Lekin ab me dhyan rkhunga … Dhanyawad. Apka post safal Hua," wrote on user.

Another user while expressing his angst over people breaking traffic rules wrote, "Can't they understand such a little thing, I don't know what they want to do in life."

"Issay app apna phone snatcher sey bhi bacha sakte ho Traffic niyamo ka palan kare  safe rahe dusro ko bhi safe rakhen," wrote a third.

Another user urged to improve the system of issuing driving licenses and wrote, "Licence jab tak pese se khareeda jayega tab tak yahi hoga licence authority ka poora jimma trafic police ko de Dena chahiye."
