Cat Crashes BBC Interview On Prince Harry By Jumping On Guest’s Lap. WATCH

Koenig concluded the interview without any hesitation and apologised for her pet’s appearance.

Television News anchoring is not as easy as it seems, especially when one is caught in an unexpected situation. This is exactly what happened when BBC anchor Sally Bundock was talking to Royal historian Marlene Koenig, who had joined the show via a video call from Virginia to share insights about Prince Harry’s ongoing court case. As Koenig was speaking to the anchor from Virginia via a video call, her cat, Fleur, eager to make a TV appearance jumped up on to her lap mid-interview and surprised everyone. Anchor  Sally Bundock was also a little surprised by the appearance of the unexpected guest.

However, Koenig maintained her calm and caught hold of her cat and swiftly placed it on the floor. She concluded the interview without any hesitation and apologised for her pet’s appearance.

BBC journalist Scott Bryan shared the video on the microblogging site Twitter, and described it as an "Incredible cat cameo." He praised both the presenter and the contributor for showing presence of mind and remaining calm throughout the interview.

Replying to his own tweet Bryan wrote, “The way the presenter carries on. The way the contributor doesn’t fluster. Just amazing scenes all round.”

Later, Koenig told the BBC that the two-and-a-half-year-old Fleur, holds a prominent role in the household and referred to her as the “queen of the house”.

Since being shared the clip has amassed 401.7k views, 2,210 likes and several comments.

"I think if I was the presenter I would have had to have said great save," commented one user on the post.

"I blinked and had to rewind superb reflexes from this hooman," wrote another user praising Koenig.

While a third jokingly wrote, "Put her in the England back line for the World Cup. Incredible hands."
