In a shocking violation of traffic rules, an autorickshaw driver in Jhansi was caught transporting an astonishing 19 passengers in a single vehicle. The incident took place on the night of February 15, 2025, during a routine police check conducted by the Baruasagar Police Station.

The policemen were left amazed when they stopped the autorickshaw and found it packed far beyond the limit of the vehicle. The three-wheeler auto rickshaw can fit almost 5 people excluding the driver. The entire scene was captured on video, which quickly went viral on social media. The footage shows passengers exiting the vehicle one by one, after which authorities ordered them to line up for a headcount. To everyone's disbelief, the count confirmed that the auto was carrying not 10, not 15, but 19 passengers.

Following the shocking revelation, the vehicle was immediately seized, and legal proceedings against the driver were initiated. A video byte from the Circle Officer of Taharoli shared details about the ongoing legal action.

Statement From Jhansi Police

The area police quickly registered a case against the auto driver. The Jhansi Police shared a clip of Area officer Tahrauli in which he said, “On the night of February 15, a checking was being conducted by the Baruasagar police station, during which an auto was caught carrying 19 passengers. Legal action is being taken against the auto driver.” The Jhansi Police has taken cognizance of the incident.

The Area Officer Tahrauli confirmed that legal action is being pursued against the autorickshaw driver.
