On Camera, Andhra Pradesh Cop Performs CPR To Save Farmer Who Suffered Heart Attack

DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy appreciated the timely response of the cop while discharging his duty sincerely

Andhra Pradesh cop Tuesday pumped life back into a farmer, who suffered heart attack during farmers 'Amaravati Maha Padayatra' at the Gammon bridge in Rajamahendravaram. A Circle Inspector at one of the police stations in Rajamahendravaram was deployed at Gammon bridge for regular duty during 'Maha Padayatra' organised by Amaravati farmers. He noticed a person collapse on the bridge during the farmers' walkathon.

The cop ran to the person, who collapsed and performed Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), which is an emergency lifesaving procedure to restore breathing and heartbeat when a person suffers heart attack.

He called the ambulance and took the person to the hospital for better treatment. Andhra Pradesh DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy appreciated the timely response of the cop while discharging his duty sincerely.

The farmers' rally entered Rajamahendravaram via the Gammon bridge across the Godavari river on Monday. While the TDP leaders extended their solidarity with the padayatra YRSCP activists greeted the farmers with black balloons and raised slogans against the farmers demand for retaining Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The padayatra being organised by the farmers from Amaravati to Arasavalli has reached 37th day. The farmers will walk a total of eight kilometres on Tuesday. Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders organised a public meeting in support of decentralisation of development.

Besides TDP, JanaSena leaders and workers also extended their solidarity with the farmers and some of the workers have also took part in the rally.
