Dubai-Bound Air India Flight Delayed By Several Hours At Mumbai Airport, Passengers Onboard Protest — Watch

Air India flight AI 909 from Mumbai to Dubai was delayed by five hours, leaving passengers stranded in the aircraft without air conditioning.

The passengers of Air India faced a harrowing situation as they were left stranded after their flight was delayed for several hours. The incident is related to an Air India Flight AI 909 from Mumbai to Dubai.

As per the report,  the flight was initially scheduled to depart Mumbai at 8:25 AM (IST) and was expected to arrive in Dubai at 10:15 AM (GST). However, the flight took off from Mumbai at 5:10 PM (IST) and landed in Dubai at 6:29 PM (GST)

Following the troubling episode, the passengers created ruckus and demanded answers from the crew members of the aircraft. A video of the same has gone viral on social media.

As per the visuals shared on Instagram by a user 'udtapatang', the passengers were seen showing frustration over the situation. The user said that the passengers on board felt suffocated as the air conditioning system was not working. It added that the crew did not provide any relief until passengers forced them to open the gates and deboard.

In a post, the user wrote, "What a horrible experience for all the passengers flying with @airindia to dubai on flight AI909. The flight that was supposed to take off at 8:25 AM was delayed for 5 hours with passengers (including toddlers and senior citizens) on board without the air condition system working. Passengers started feeling suffocated and yet the crew did not provide and relief untill passengers forced them to open the gates and deboard. Truly not the kind of experience we expected from an airline owned by one of the most accountable business houses @tata_trusts. The captain not once came out of the cockpit to address the passengers to assauge the situation but only waited inside untill passengers lost their calm after 5 hours waiting patiently. High time the aviation ministry starts to handle such incidents with strictest of actions. Why should the passengers be always on the receiving end?"

In reply to the post, several social media users also put forward their views. One user commented that if the flight was delayed, the passengers should have been informed about it, instead of making them sit in the flight.

Another one said, "What the hell.. how can you keep passengers without air-conditioning for so long.. are they mad! How long will it take to just declare them and get them back when the issue is fixed."
