Heavy Rainfall Predicted In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana To See Thunderstorms This Week
Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are expected see rainfall accompanied by gusty winds this week, bringing respite from sweltering heat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Telangana will witness thunderstorms with gusty winds for the next five days, bringing respite from sweltering heat. Neighbouring Andhra Pradesh is also expected to be lashed by heavy rainfall in the next four days.
Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jagityal, Khammam,Nalgonda, Janagaon,Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Nagarkurnool, and Kamareddy districts of Telangana on Monday and Tuesday, the IMD said.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over Telangana from Monday to Wednesday and at a few places on Thursday and Friday.

Hyderabad Weather
The sky was cloudy in Hyderabad on Monday. According to the Hyderabad MeT department, light to moderate rain or thundershowers, with intermittent intensive spells accompanied with gusty winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph, are very likely to occur in the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 30 degrees and 21 degrees respectively. Winds are likely to blow from the southeast at a speed of 6 to 10 km per hour.

Andhra Pradesh Weather
Heavy rainfall in parts of Andhra Pradesh has been predicted by the meteorological department for the next four days. The state disaster management authority has cautioned people to be safe as many places are likely to witness thunderbolt strikes.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, heavy rainfall is likely to occur in isolated places of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, PTI reported.
"Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 40-50 kmph likely at isolated places over north coastal AP (NCAP), Yanam, SCAP and Rayalaseema," the Met department said in a statement.
It predicted similar weather on Thursday and Friday in isolated places of NCAP, Yanam, SCAP and Rayalaseema.
