Telangana Govt To Operate Over 4,000 Special Buses During Dussehra Festive Season

According to TSRTC officials, 3,085 buses will be commuted to various parts of Telangana while the remaining 950 buses to operated to Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka

Hyderabad: Dussehra in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is celebrated with huge pomp and joy but due to ongoing pandemic, the streets wore a deserted look last year. This year, government has eased lockdown curbed as the Covid cases are on a declining trend in both the Telugu states. In this context, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has taken decision to operate over 4,045 special buses which could inturn be a respite for the people looking forward to travel to their home towns.

According to TSRTC officials, 3,085 buses will be commuted to various parts of Telangana while the remaining 950 buses to operated to Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. "We have increased the number of special buses when compared to last year as several people will be looking forward to travel to their native places for the festival season and lockdown curbs are also relaxed," said TSRTC official as quoted by Telangana Today.

The TSRTC to run these special buses from main bus stands in Hyderabad -- JBS, MGBS, BHEL, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Miyapur Cross Road, KPHB Colony, Ameerpet, Telephone Bhavan, Dilsukhgarh, ECIL Cross Road, LB Nagar Cross Road, and Aranghar Cross Road.

These special buses to operate between October 8 and 15. Besides, the ticket prices to be raised by 1.5 per cent. Buses for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Karimnagar, and Nizamabad are available from Jubilee Bus Station.

Buses to Warangal, Parakala, Mahabubabad, Bhubaneswar, and Yadagiri Gutta are available are available from Uppal Cross Road. Buses for Nalgonda, Kodada, and Suryapet will start from for Dilsukhnagar. From Old CBS, there are special buses to Kadapa, Kurnool, Chittoor, Anantapur, Ongole, and Nellore. The rest of the buses will depart from MGBS, according to officials.
