Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express To Launch By February 2023
The train will stop at major stations such as Warangal, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry
The Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express train will likely start operations in February 2023. However, the Indian Railways has approved the proposal to operate the Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Vijayawada, and plans are in the works to expand it all the way to Visakhapatnam, benefiting passengers from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The train will stop at major stations such as Warangal, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry. A study will be undertaken on the feasibility of operating the train between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Vande Bharat Express trains currently connect New Delhi with Varanasi and Vaishno Devi in northern Jammu, as well as Mysuru and Chennai through Bengaluru.
The Vande Bharat Express has a maximum commercial speed of 160 km/h. It exceeded 180 km/h during testing, but its tracks are not capable of supporting such high speeds. Thus, the train is operated at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
