Tata Electronics Not In Apple's List Of New Suppliers

Apple is continuing to break away from its dependency on mainland China for iPhone manufacturing and focusing on India as one of the major alternatives for the company. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant added three new suppliers in the country last year, thus, taking the total number of suppliers in India to 14, says a report by Economic Times.

Apple's three new suppliers in India are Molex, Onsemi and Shenzhen Erwin Precision Technology. Apart from this, the Apple Suppliers List for the fiscal year 2022 also includes the top 200 suppliers of the company. These suppliers represent 98 per cent of its direct spending on materials, manufacturing and assembly of its products globally, the report added.

India receives the highest number of suspicious emails per day and 53 per cent of Indian firms were victims of spear-phishing last year. One Indian firm receives five highly-personalised spear-phishing emails per day and users at companies with more than a 50 per cent remote workforce are witnessing higher levels of suspicious emails, says a new report.

Spear-phishing attacks comprise only 0.1 per cent of all e-mail-based attacks, but they are responsible for 66 per cent of all breaches. According to the 2023 Spear-Phishing Tends Report, on average 24 per cent had at least one email account compromised through account takeover.

ChatGPT Used To Share Answers With TSPSC Exam Candidates: Report

In a significant development related to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam paper leak case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has discovered evidence suggesting the involvement of an accused individual who allegedly utilised ChatGPT and electronic devices to share answers with candidates participating in at least two government recruitment exams, as reported by IANS. The accused, identified as Poola Ramesh, a Divisional Engineer with Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSNPDCL), is believed to have sold question papers for the Assistant Engineer (Civil) exam and employed AI technology and electronic devices to assist candidates in the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) and Divisional Accounts Officer (DAO) exams.

WhatsApp Getting 2 New Interesting Features Soon

Meta-owned WhatsApp is working to introduce the much-useful screen-sharing feature that will be available during video calls. It will be available for Android users soon. The world's most popular messaging app is testing the update through Google Play Beta program version 2.23.11.19. According to WhatsApp updates tracker WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned platform is going to release a screen-sharing feature, along with a new placement for tabs within the bottom navigation bar and it is currently available for some beta testers.

Iqoo's Chief Gaming Officer To Be Paid In Lakhs

Vivo Group's brand Iqoo is seeking to appoint its first chief gaming officer and that person will be paid in lakhs in the first six months. According to the company, it is looking for a gaming enthusiast to join the handset maker's leadership team.

Iqoo's chief gaming officer will be joining forces with the leadership team at the handset maker, exchanging gaming insights to build a complete smartphone package for gamers that includes gameplay, gaming style, presentation and game interpretations. Galaxy F54 5G India Launch Date Officially Confirmed

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy F54 5G in India next month, the company announced on Tuesday. According to the South Korean tech giant, the device will be the "most premium" smartphone in the Galaxy F series. The Galaxy F54 5G will come with a 108MP (OIS) "no shake camera", astrolapse feature, which was recently introduced in the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 series, and more. The handset maker has officially confirmed that the Galaxy F54 5G will launch in India on June 6, 2023. The device will go on sale via e-commerce platforms Flipkart and Samsung's own website.
