Many people conduct their important office work on it, while some are more interested in capturing everyday life by taking photographs on their smartphone camera. The current trend is taking selfies from your smartphone device. However, selfies have cost many people their lives.

Selfie in rain can be dangerous

Do you know that even taking selfies in rain and lightning can kill you. Lightning from the sky is one of the reasons why smartphones explode when its user is outside during the rain. Flashes of rain and lightning make the smartphone as dangerous and explosive as a bomb. Actually, the electromagnetic field of the mobile attracts lightning, due to which the risk of accidents because of lightning increases.

Phone waves attract electricity

According to experts, the risk of lightning striking you is highest if you are using the phone in an open place or taking a selfie while it's raining. As per the report, the danger persists even if the phone is switched off during this time. It is because the phone has electromagnetic waves which attract electricity towards itself.

Lightning strikes on people while taking selfie in Jaipur

Recently a smartphone related incident happened in Jaipur. On Sunday, amidst heavy rain, lightning struck on the watchtower of Amer Fort which injured more than 35 tourists present at the site. According to the news, all these people were taking selfies from the phone in heavy rain. The lightning struck the fort that affected the people present there. Many people died on the spot, while the condition of others is said to be critical.
