Samsung New Camera Sensors' Features: Isocell HP9, Isocell GNJ, Isocell JN5
Isocell HP9: The Isocell HP9 features 200 million 0.56-micrometer (μm) pixels in a 1/1.4-inch optical format. It features a high-refractive microlens for better light-gathering capability and the Tetra²pixel technology merges 16 pixels into a 12MP 2.24μm-sized sensor. Furthermore, the Remosaic algorithm provides 2x or 4x in-sensor zoom modes, achieving up to 12x zoom with a 3x zoom telephoto module.
Isocell GNJ: It features a dual-pixel sensor with 50 million 1.0μm pixels in a 1/1.57-inch optical format. It boasts a high-transmittance anti-refractive layer (ARL) and high-refractive microlens. It has dual-pixel technology for fast and accurate autofocus. The upgraded pixel isolation material present in it minimises crosstalk between adjacent pixels. It consumes less power and has a 29 per cent improvement in preview mode and 34 per cent in video mode at 4K 60fps.
Isocell JN5: It features 50 million 0.64μm pixels in a 1/2.76-inch optical format. The dual vertical transfer gate (Dual VTG) technology present in it reduces noise in low light and the Super Quad Phase Detection (Super QPD) adjusts focus with minimal shake. it also boasts dual slope gain (DSG) technology which enhances HDR Hardware. The remosaic algorithms improve camera shooting speed and enable real-time zoom.
