Meta AI Chatbot On WhatsApp Now Available In India. How To Spot The Chatbot In Your List

To access Meta AI on WhatsApp, simply look for a new icon in the top right corner of your main chat list.

Get ready to chat with an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant directly on Meta-owned WhatsApp as Meta's AI-powered chatbot, Meta AI, is finally rolling out to Indian users after being available to a limited audience in the US since November 2023. Please note that Meta AI on WhatsApp is currently available for select users in the country. ABP Live could confirm the presence of the AI-enabled chatbot on an Android (OnePlus number series smartphone) on Thursday (April 11).

Select WhatsApp Users In India Get Access To Meta AI

Meta first announced Meta AI during the Meta Connect 2023 event, sparking excitement about its potential for WhatsApp integration. Now, Indian users are joining the party, after users in the US, experiencing this innovative AI feature firsthand. This rollout signifies Meta's expansion of Meta AI beyond the US market. With its arrival in India, a vast population will gain access in a unique way to interact with AI on WhatsApp, the world's most-popular messaging platform.

How To Spot Meta AI On WhatsApp

The arrival of Meta AI was signaled by a new icon appearing in the main chat list on WhatsApp for select users. This AI chatbot is powered by Meta's powerhouse Large Language Model, known as Llama, which signifies the company's advanced artificial intelligence (AI) development. To access Meta AI on WhatsApp, simply look for a new icon in the top right corner of your main chat list. It's hard to miss -- the logo features a brightly coloured ring that shimmers with different hues, hinting at the AI's diverse capabilities.

It is pertinent to note that Facebook parent Meta had previously revealed that Meta AI leverages their most advanced large language model research, combined with the powerful Llama 2 model. This suggests Meta AI might integrate real-time web results, enhancing its ability to answer users questions comprehensively.
