iPhone New Update: The pandemic has brought a lot of changes in life as we know it. The changes in the lifestyle and working culture are now being adopted by the tech companies as well. One of them is Apple. 

While the tech giant had started making updates since the first wave, it has given a new update now. According to reports, Apple is working on a feature that will allow iPhone users to unlock their phones even while wearing a mask. Here are some details of the same.

Upcoming Features

According to the reports, this new feature could come with an iOS 15.4 update. In this feature, there will be an option to unlock the iPhone even with the face mask on. For this, there will be special toggles in the settings section. It will be called 'Use Face ID with a Mask'. 

It will allow the users to unlock the phone not only with a mask but also glasses on by just making some changes. For the same, one can add the option of 'Add Glass'.

Necessity Of The Feature

The users have been facing problems while unlocking the phones due to masks which are still mandatory in many countries while going out. Hence the tech giant decided to work on this feature.

Current Features

Although Apple had updated this feature of unlocking the iPhone with a mask in 2021 in its iOS13.5 update csx, it still requested a pin to completely unlock the phone. In order to make it easy for the users, the company developed this feature. 

However, it is still not clear which models will be having this feature. Though, there are speculations that it will be available on all devices of the company that support the Face ID locking system.
