Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo introduced the Vivo Y200, its latest 5G handset, on Monday. The device boasts a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM, making it a robust addition to the Indian smartphone market. Notably, the Vivo Y200 features an extended RAM feature, enabling it to utilize unused storage space as extra memory, thereby enhancing its overall performance. The smartphone comes in two striking colour options and showcases an AMOLED display with a rapid 120Hz refresh rate.

Furthermore, the Vivo Y200 flaunts a 64-megapixel dual rear camera setup and is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. This new entrant follows the success of the Vivo Y100, which made its debut in February. In the fiercely competitive Indian market, the Vivo Y200 will take on rivals such as the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, Samsung Galaxy M34, and Redmi Note 12 5G.

Vivo Y200 Price, Availability

Vivo Y200 with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 21,999. The top-end variant featuring 8GB RAM + 256GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs 24,999. The phone is available in Jungle Green and Desert Gold colours. You can purchase the Vivo Y200 via multiple avenues, including Vivo's official India e-store, alongside Flipkart and Amazon, in addition to select retail outlets.

Vivo Y200 Specifications

The Vivo Y200 supports dual-SIM (Nano) functionality and operates on Funtouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13. It boasts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, a pixel density of 394 ppi, and a peak brightness level of 900 nits. The display is elegantly curved and features a centrally placed notch for the selfie camera. Powering the device is a 6nm Snapdragon 4 Gen SoC along with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and an option for up to 8GB of extended RAM.

The smartphone comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.79 lens. The secondary sensor is a 2-megapixel unit with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies and video calls, the device includes a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera setup offers various photography modes, including night mode, panorama, time-lapse video, dual view, portrait, and slow motion.

Connectivity options encompass 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB 2.0. The smartphone features an array of sensors, including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, motor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope. Security is enhanced with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Vivo Y200 is IP54-rated for dust and water resistance.
