Realme GT 2 Pro Will Feature 3 World-First Innovations: Everything You Should Know

Realme GT 2 Pro flagship smartphone wasn't launched on Monday, but the brand launched three world-first technologies that the smartphone is packed with.

New Delhi: Dampening expectations, handset maker Realme did not launch the much-talked-about Realme GT 2 Pro flagship smartphone on Monday, but launched three world-first technologies at the virtual event. These three innovations are related to the design, photography, and communication of the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro. As we had informed earlier, the handset maker streamed a special event online on its YouTube channel, and announced the new features that the Realme GT 2 Pro flagship device will feature and according to Realme, these are the "world's first innovations" in the industry.

Here are the top things about the Realme GT 2 Pro that you must know.

Use of bio-polymer material for GT 2 Pro

Realme GT 2 Pro features a minimalist, sustainability-focused design inspired by paper, according to the handset maker. Built in collaboration with famed Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, this "Paper Tech Master Design" makes Realme GT 2 Pro the world’s first smartphone to be designed with bio-based materials. The back cover on Realme GT 2 Pro uses a bio-polymer material that serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming.

The SABIC bio-based material has passed not only the ISCC International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, but also various stringent environmental regulation standards, such as REACH, RoHS, and EPEAT. Additionally, Realme's new box design has also reduced the overall plastic ratio - from 21.7 per cent in the previous generation to 0.3 per cent in the current model.

First 150-degree ultra-wide camera with fisheye mode

Realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to offer a 150-degree ultra-wide camera, which expands the phone's field of view by 278 per cent compared to the main camera's 84-degree field, the handset maker said in a statement. The smartphone OEM has also developed the world’s first fisheye mode for smartphones which will debut on the Realme GT 2 Pro to provide an ultra-long depth of field effect. With a large field of view, the overall picture will become visually appealing.

Stable Signal and 360-degree NFC

The Realme GT 2 Pro sports an Antenna Array Matrix System consisting of three technologies: the world's first ultra-wide-band antenna switching technology (HyperSmart), a Wi-Fi Enhancer, and 360-degree near-field communication (NFC) technology. The HyperSmart antenna switching technology is designed with 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in almost all directions, all with the same signal strength. This allows GT 2 Pro to evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal, the company said.
