Online Gaming Guidelines: Chinese Govt Restricts Children To Play Online Games 3 Hrs A Week

In view of physical and mental health, the Chinese government has made new rules regarding online gaming, according to which children will now be able to play online games for 3 hours a week.

New Delhi: The Chinese government has issued new guidelines regarding online gaming, according to which children will now be able to play online games for only 3 hours a week.

The government has taken this decision to promote physical sports. These rules have been implemented for children under 18 years of age. After this new rule, children will be able to play online games for just one hour each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Online games allowed only 3 hours a week

Children will be allowed to play online games for one hour, 3 days a week and one hour on holidays. The Chinese government seems to be very strict about the latest implementation.

Recently, China's popular tech company Tencent has complied with the rules implemented by the government. The government believes that online games are like spiritual opium. Since then, online games companies are facing different restrictions.

Why the new rules?

The Chinese government has taken a tougher stand in view of the deteriorating physical and mental health of the children. Parents are worried about the health of their children. This is seen as a big reason for the government's new rules. The gaming restrictions are part of the government's ongoing crackdown on technology companies.

The new regulation has affected the price of the shares of online gaming companies. Earlier this month, the government media had raised questions on the gaming industries. Online gaming companies have suffered a lot due to these bans.
