Carl Pei-owned consumer electronics brand Nothing is set to unveil its second-generation TWS earbuds, the Nothing Ear (2) on March 22. The Nothing Ear (2) is set to be unveiled on March 22 at 8:30 pm, the company has confirmed.
The company says that the upcoming TWS earbuds will follow Nothing’s 'iconic design' with elite engineering and next-level personalisation. According to the company's official teaser of the Nothing Ear (2), the earbuds will have a transparent case.
"When (1) becomes (2). 22 March, 15:00 GMT. Get ready for Ear (2). http://nothing.tech," Nothing tweeted from its official handle.
Previous leaks and rumours suggest that the upcoming Nothing earbuds will come with personalised ANC that will let users customise the noise cancellation level they want, dual, or multipoint connectivity, thus, letting users connect the buds to two devices simultaneously and also switch between them. The company is also likely to bring add support for Advanced EQ with custom settings as well as the much useful 'Find Earbuds' feature.
According to another previous leak, Nothing is also working on a purported speaker, but the official Ear (2) launch teaser has no mention of another product. The smartphone will make its debut in the US, followed by other global markets, including in India.
To recall, earlier in January, the company had confirmed it is going to launch the successor to Nothing Phone (1), the Nothing Phone (2) in the US. According to the company founder and CEO Carl Pei, the purported Nothing Phone (2) would be 'more premium' than the original. However, Pei was reluctant to call it a 'flagship' smartphone.
According to a previous interview by Inverse, the Nothing Phone (1) was not designed with the US market in mind as the consumer tech brand did not have the resources. Network carriers in the US make it mandatory for smartphones to go through a certification process and it is necessary that certain features must be included in the device's software.
The Nothing Phone (1) was unveiled in India last year and it was launched after much hype. It caught a lot of attention with its semi-transparent and rear side with LED pattern. The smartphone is still a unique proposition to own right now with its design and LEDs that light up in different patterns for notifications. Some of the smartphones it rivals in India, include the new Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
