CMF Phone 1, Buds Pro 2 And Watch Pro 2 Launch Confirmed On July 8

At its Community Update event on July 8, the company will announce the CMF Phone 1, marking the debut of its first smartphone under the CMF sub-brand.

London-based consumer technology firm Nothing has scheduled its next Community Update event for July 8 at 10 am BST, which is 2:30 pm IST. At the event, the company will announce the CMF Phone 1, marking the debut of its first smartphone under the CMF sub-brand. Additionally, Nothing will introduce the second generation of its CMF Buds Pro and the Watch Pro alongside the CMF Phone 1.

The new smartphone will be launched under the CMF by Nothing sub-brand.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the official CMF account announced that the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2 will be launched along with the CMF Phone 1. These new devices will be introduced at Nothing's upcoming Community Update event on July 8.

CMF Phone 1 May Not Come With Glyph Interface

The CMF Phone 1 is said to depart from its traditional Glyph interface, opting instead for a novel volume knob-like button positioned on the phone's rear. The Nothing Phone 2a also saw the company reducing the number of Glyph lights at the back of the phone.

CMF Phone 1 Specifications And Features (Expected)

Details of the button's specific functionalities remain undisclosed, leaving uncertainties whether it will serve a purely aesthetic purpose or offer additional capabilities. Nothing, however, suggests that the CMF Phone 1 could offer distinctive features intended at distinguishing itself amidst competitors.

The CMF Phone 1 is rumoured to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and thick bezels. The device is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which is also speculated to power the upcoming Oppo Reno 12 Pro.

The CMF Phone 1 may house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. Although these specifications have not been officially confirmed, it is certain that the smartphone will not include a charger in the package, similar to the likes of Samsung, Apple and Google.

The company has not yet detailed product information. However, an image recently posted on X showcases elements of the smartphone's design. The image reveals that the phone features a vibrant orange colour, consistent with the colour used in other CMF products such as the GAN charger and CMF Buds. More colours are likely to be introduced at the official unveiling.

CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, is focused on providing budget-friendly products. Notably, until now, it has only released accessories, including a smartwatch, charger, and TWS earbuds.
