Apple iPhone 15 Pro May Come With Ultra-Thin Bezels And USB-C
To recall, there was a chassis redesign in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus and these were the first iPhone models that could be opened from both the front and back.
Apple is expected to launch its iPhone series this September, provided there are no production delays. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Apple 15 Pro will come with big camera upgrades, ultra-thin bezels and USB-C instead of lightning charging. Apple is likely redesigning the iPhones internally so they are more repairable like last year's iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This could mean that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models come with rear glass.
To recall, there was a chassis redesign in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus and these were the first iPhone models that could be opened from both the front and back, after 2011's iPhone 4S. The chassis redesign did not extend to the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, at least for authorised repairs.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models were earlier said to be delayed due to a "severe crunch" in the wake of display production woes. However, a report last month claimed that the panels for the iPhone 15 Pro models are no longer in shortage. South Korean major LG Display resolved the display woes which indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro line would not get delayed this year. Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 15 series this fall, continuing with its tradition of refreshing its iPhone lineup at that time of the year. However, a previous report in The Information, citing two sources having direct knowledge of the problem said that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models could face severe supply shortages in September.

As per analyst Tim Lang, the Apple iPhone 15 will be costlier than iPhone 14. The iPhone 15 Pro is likely to be at least $100 costlier than the iPhone 14 Pro while the iPhone 15 Pro Max model may be $100-$200 more expensive than iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Cupertino-based Apple is mulling to significantly reduce the size of the bezels around the display this year and that has caused production woes. According to a report by Korean publication The Elec, the tech giant is working towards introducing a "bezel-less" display and it has asked its display partners Samsung and LG Display to make flat OLED screens with no bezels. Apple's display partners would be required to upgrade the thin film encapsulation (TFE) and under-panel camera (UPC) technologies to make bezel-less panels.
