OnePlus 12 Key Camera Details Surface. Periscope Lens And Hasselblad Branding Expected

The OnePlus 12 would feature a Hasselblad-branded triple camera system at the back.

OnePlus 12 is said to be officially unveiled in the coming months and now, the camera specifications of the smartphone have been tipped online. According to famed tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone would feature a triple camera system at the back. The camera details of the OnePlus 12 were leaked on Weibo. The OnePlus 12's camera is likely to come with a periscope camera, which uses a prism to bend light, thus, allowing for optical zoom without increasing the size of the device. OnePlus 12's periscope lens may have a 64MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 11, in comparison, only offers 2x optical zoom.

OnePlus 12, the successor to the popular OnePlus 11 is likely to be launched in December and the handset would come with a significant upgrade in the camera department, a leak suggested last month. The OnePlus 12 would get a  big upgrade in terms of battery capacity, RAM and onboard storage another leak indicated. A periscope camera and a glossy back have been hinted at a number of times by tipsters. The camera setup on the OnePlus 12 is likely to have a slight boost over the OnePlus 11.

OnePlus 12 Release Date, Expected Specs And More

The OnePlus 12 is likely to be officially launched in December this year or early 2024. Specifications and key details of the handset were tipped earlier and according to them, the OnePlus 12 would come with an AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The OnePlus 12 could get a big battery, a 5,400mAh one, with support for 100W proprietary wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Among other upgrades are a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 64MP telephoto camera, which are significant upgrades over the OnePlus 11 5G. Apart from the battery capacity upgrade, the OnePlus 12 could mark the return of 50W wireless charging too.

The previously leaked renders showed OnePlus 12 in black colour with a glossy back, which was missing in the OnePlus 11. OnePlus will most likely release more colour options at the time of launch, which is still not clear. In terms of design language, there won't be much difference from this year's OnePlus 11. It would likely have the same huge circular camera module at the back, but the camera would get a significant upgrade in the form of a periscope camera on the OnePlus 12. The LED flash seems to have moved to the top-left corner of the camera. The front side may have a bezel-less screen with a selfie camera moved from the corner to the centre of the screen. The alert slider and power button are placed on the right side and the volume keys are on the left.
