Adobe Acrobat Gets AI Image Generation Feature & You Can Access It For Free For A Limited Time: All You Need To Know

For a limited time, Adobe will offer the enhanced AI Assistant feature for free to all users from June 18 to June 28, after which the service will be part of the monthly $5 plan.

AI image generation in PDFs is no longer a thing of the future. Adobe has announced a substantial enhancement to its Acrobat PDF editor and viewer. The upgrade focuses on bolstering the capabilities of the AI Assistant feature, initially launched in February this year. This AI Assistant introduced functionalities such as AI-generated summaries and a responsive chatbot designed to answer queries related to extensive documents.

When Will Adobe Acrobat's AI Assistant Be Available?

Starting today, Adobe will expand the capabilities of its AI Assistant to include multi-document analysis.

AI Image Generation, Editing

In addition to document analysis, Adobe is integrating its Firefly model into Acrobat, enabling an AI-powered image generator within the software. This feature, already familiar from Adobe's other products like Photoshop and Illustrator, allows users to manipulate images directly within PDFs. Features include background removal and minor image adjustments, all processed by Adobe's generative AI models, which the company asserts are privacy-conscious and designed not to compromise user data.

Integrate Document Types

This enhancement will enable users to upload and analyse multiple documents simultaneously, a departure from the previous focus on individual file analysis. Users will also be able to integrate various document types, including Word and PowerPoint files, into the AI chatbot interface.

Adobe Acrobat AI Assistance Price

This update aims to consolidate Adobe's position in the document editing market against competitors like Gemini and ChatGPT, which offer similar document analysis capabilities. Unlike its competitors, Adobe is emphasising the integration of these AI features within its existing suite of editing tools, presenting it at $5 per month, significantly lower than competitors' offerings.

Despite recent controversies regarding privacy concerns and data usage in AI training, Adobe reaffirms its commitment to user privacy. The company clarifies that while documents may be uploaded to the cloud for analysis, user data will not be exploited for training AI models. This stance mirrors recent privacy-focused initiatives in the tech industry and aims to assure users of Adobe's commitment to data security.

For a limited time, Adobe will offer the enhanced AI Assistant feature for free to all users from June 18 to 28, 2024, further encouraging the adoption and exploration of the updated capabilities in Acrobat.
