Kamal Haasan, Currently Hosting Bigg Boss Tamil - Season 5, Tests Positive For COVID-19
The MNM leader said that he has realized that the pandemic is not over yet and everyone should stay safe.
Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, who is currently hosting Season 5 of Bigg Boss Tamil, has tested positive for novel coronavirus on Monday. The actor who returned from the USA recently said that he has mild symptoms.
Kamal Haasan said, “I was having mild cough after I returned from my America trip. Hence, I got the Covid-19 test done the report of which came back positive.”
“I've isolated myself in a hospital. I have realized that the pandemic is not yet over. So everyone stay safe,” he added.
Political leaders, including DMK's TRB Raaja have wished speedy recovery for the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder. On the Kollywood front, actors including Karthik, Kayal Devaraj and PRO Nikkil Murugan wished him a swift recovery.
The Makkal Needhi Maiam founder, along with his party works, is hosting the Tamil Bigg Boss Season 5. The lead actor appeared on the show which was telecast on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, last year, Kamal Haasan, immediately after the Covid-19 outbreak, offered his home to be converted into a hospital for treatment of infected patients. The leader in a tweet had said that in order to help the doctors of the party he would convert his home into a hospital for a temporary period until the caseload dropped.

The actor's daughter Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan during that time were in isolation in their respective homes in Mumbai.
