A Madurai Salon Offers 50% Discount For Customers With Covid Vaccination Certificate

"We are giving this offer to bring awareness about the importance of vaccine against Covid among people," said salon owner Karthikeyan.

Madurai: With the second wave of Covid in the country on a declining trend, the state governments are slowly unlocking with easing of lockdown crubs, in efforts to boost the frayed economy in the country. Rightly so, people have started opening their shutters but simultaneously the governments have been warning to be aware of the repurcussions of the virus. In one such interesting attempt, a salon in Tamil Nadu's Madurai is providing a 50 per cent offer to its customers who enter with a vaccine certificate, in a bid to bring in more awareness among people of Madurai.

"We offer 50% off to vaccinated customers to raise awareness about the vaccine. We should be vaccinated to avoid the third wave," said a salon's owner in Madurai, Karthikeyan.

People living in urban regions of the country should have understood the significance of vaccination against Covid-19 but the still there seems to be a void in rural as people still deny to believe the fact that Coronavirus is omnipresent.

On Saturday, Tamil Nadu had recorded 8,183 Covid cases with number of fatalities dropping to 180 while in India 58,419 new cases reported in the last 24 hours with Recovery rate increases to 96.27%.
