Uttar Pradesh To Get 9 New Medical Colleges, PM Modi To Inaugurate On July 30

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate nine new medical colleges in Siddharth Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, on July 30.

Lucknow: 9 new Medical colleges to be inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh. The inauguration of these 9 new Medical colleges about to open in Siddharth Nagar district, would be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. The new medical colleges would start operating after the inauguration ceremony.  UP will now have a total of 48 Medical colleges, including these 9 new ones.

According to a government spokesperson, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked his administration to take care of all needed arrangements on time. The occasion of Nine Medical colleges simultaneously being inaugurated in Nine different districts is said to be a first in history.

PM Modi will also hand over appointment certificates to doctors and staff.

Doctors and staff of the Medical College would also receive their appointment letters from the PM himself, as a part of the Inauguration ceremony. CM Yogi Adityanath aims to set up a medical college in every district of UP. Currently, there are 75 districts in the state.

The districts where these 9 new medical colleges have been set up are Deoria, Etah, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Pratapgarh and Siddharth Nagar. However, the number has increased since Yogi Adityanath's government gained office.

UP government intends to make the state a hub for medical education

The state government has also planned to open medical colleges on 'public and private partnership' model in 16 districts in the state, which do not have a single medical college. CM Yogi's government is working towards making Uttar Pradesh a hub for medical education. These medical facilities are being made widely available not only for residents of the state, but for everyone across the world.

Uttar Pradesh already has four premier medical institutes namely Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Saifai Institute and King George Medical University (KGMU).
