UPTET 2021 Exam Postponed For Next Month After Paper Leak

The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) which was scheduled to take place today has been postponed for the next month. The decision has been taken due to a paper leak.

UPTET 2021: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) which was scheduled to take place today has been postponed for the next month. The decision has been taken due to a paper leak. The exam was scheduled to take place in two shifts. 

Approximately 21 lakh people were supposed to appear for this exam. Now in the light of the paper leak, a fresh paper will be organised. Many have been arrested in the paper leak case. The Special Task Force is investigating the case.

“UPTET 2021 examination has been cancelled following information of a paper leak. The UP government will conduct the exam again within a month. Investigation to be conducted by UP STF,” said Dr Satish Dwivedi, Basic Education Minister, UP, reported ANI.

Paper Leaked On Whatsapp

According to sources, the paper went viral via whatsapp in UP’s Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, and Mathura. People related to the ‘Solver gang’ have been arrested. The paper was cancelled before the exam and has been postponed, however, the applicants will not have to pay the fees again.

Paper Was Scheduled In Two Shifts

The paper was scheduled in two shifts. One from 10 AM to 12:30 Noon, and the other from 2:30 PM to 5 PM for Upper-Primary level. This year, 21,62,287 people filled the application for the exam.
