PM Modi Addresses UP Global Investors Summit, Hails Uttar Pradesh For Good Governance

Speaking at the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023, PM Modi said that improvement in health, education, green growth, and social infrastructure provides great opportunities for investors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 in Lucknow Today in the presence of UP Governor Anandiben Patel, CM Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and addressed the gathering present there.

Speaking at the occasion the Prime Minister praised the Uttar pradesh government for "good governance" and "stability" in the state

"I welcome all investors to this Summit. Today Uttar Pradesh is known for good governance, peace, law and order, and stability: PM Modi at UP Global Investors' Summit in Lucknow," said the PM in his opening remarks.

He also pointed out how infrastructure development in the state has helped in the ease of doing business.

"Along with infrastructure, UP has changed its 'Soch and Approach' for ease of doing business. It is driving the growth of New India. From electricity to connectivity, there has been improvement in every field. The state is witnessing holistic development," the Prime Minister was quoted as saying by ANI.

Speaking further, PM Modi highlighted that improvement in health, education, green growth, and social infrastructure provides great opportunities for investors in Uttar Pradesh.

"Health, education, green growth, and social infrastructure are great opportunities for investors in India. Today, India is carrying out reforms not out of compulsion, but out of conviction," the PM said at the summit in Lucknow.

Almost all of the UP Cabinet ministers, including deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, were present at the mega event inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

Investor UP 2.0 is a comprehensive, investor-centric, and service-oriented investment ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh that endeavors to deliver relevant, well-defined, standardized services to investors, said an official statement according to the news agency ANI.

The list of participants in the event include Mukesh Aghi (USISPF), Swati Dalal (Abbott Nutrition), Navneet Agarwal (Agarwal Packers and Movers), Mahesh Sugru (Tata Motors), Uday Sinha (Ekana Group), Adil Zaidi (Ernst & Young), Dheeraj Kapoor (Flipkart), Dhruv Galgotia (Galgotia University), Dinesh Gupta (Green Ply), Rajeev Garg (Haldiram Group), Sanjeev Kakkar (Indian Oil Corporation), Pradeep Dixit (ITC), Ashish Agarwal (JBM Group), Amar Sinha (Radico Khaitan), Daniel Bircher (Zurich Airport Asia), J B Park (Samsung), Pradeep Kumar Gupta (Sharda University), Kailash Chandra Jhanwar (Ultra Tech Cement) and Jagdish Gulati (United Group).

 The investors summit will come to an end on February 12.
