Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign ahead of Gandhi Jayanti on Sunday. He teamed up with fitness influencer Ankit Baiyanpuriya in the cleanliness drive.

PM Modi took to X and shared the video on his official account. He wrote, "Today, as the nation focuses on Swachhata, Ankit Baiyanpuriya and I did the same! Beyond just cleanliness, we blended fitness and well-being also into the mix. It is all about that Swachh and Swasth Bharat vibe."

Responding to PM Modi's appeal for a nationwide cleanliness drive, other leaders including Amit Shah, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Piyush Goyal, also participated in the campaign and did 'Shram Daan' (Donation of labour). Last month, PM Modi, during his monthly broadcast "Mann Ki Baat" made an appeal to all the citizens for “one hour of Shram Daan for Swachhata” on October 1. He termed it as a ‘Swachhanjali’ to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary.

Let us come together tomorrow at 10 am to dedicate one hour to cleanliness and help us build a bright future for the country."

Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi after doing 'Shram Daan' said, "We hope that people stay connected with the 'Swachh Bharat Mission' that was launched by PM Modi."

BJP Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also participated in the campaign. He said, "It is a national program. Advocates also took part in the drive. I am going to Kalighat Patna and will participate in the cleanliness campaign. Swachh Bharat is important for the country."

BJP National president JP Nadda participated in the nationwide cleanliness drive. He accompanied Meenakashi Lekhi during the campaign. He exuded confidence on the campaign and said that this Swacchta Abhiyan will be carried forward with the same energy. "BJP is celebrating Swachchta Pakhwada and Swacchta Abhiyan... Many of our workers across the country are participating in the Swacchta Abhiyan... Today I have come to Ambedkar Basti to participate in the Swacchta Abhiyan and I am happy to be here along with Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi... I am sure this Swacchta Abhiyan, a vision of Mahatma Gandhi, will be carried forward with the same energy," Nadda said.
