40 School Students Among 50 Injured as Haryana Roadways Bus Overturns In Panchkula
All the injured children are said to have escaped without any critical injuries. Nearly 30 have been taken to the Civil Hospital, while the others are under observation in Pinjore.
Panchkula: An overloaded Haryana Roadways minibus overturned near Pinjore in the Panchkula district on Monday, leaving 50 injured, PTI reported. Over 40 among the injured were school children, state officials were quoted as saying in the report.
Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Dr Yash Garg told ANI that there were many people in the bus when it overturned near a turn. The focus was on rescuing the victims, and the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, he said.

Garg said four adults were also taken to hospital, including a 60-year-old woman who sustained a crush injury on her arm and has been referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh. Another injured person has been shifted to ICU.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, who is BJP MLA from Panchkula, told PTI that the accident occurred near a village.
He said the bus was overloaded, and its speed was slightly in excess. Thus, as it approached a turn, it overturned. He also said the driver and conductor of the bus had been suspended.
He said the primary focus was on rescuing the passengers, and providing the best possible care for the injured.
