4 Dead, Many Hurt After Bus Falls On Railway Track In Rajasthan

Four people died and several others were injured after a bus fell on the railway track near Dausa Collectorate Circle in Rajasthan.

At least four people died and several others were injured after a bus lost control and fell on the railway track near Dausa Collectorate Circle in Rajasthan's Dausa on Sunday night. Following the incident, all the injured were taken to the hospital. Speaking on the incident, ADM Dausa, Rajkumar Kaswa, said, "After the accident, 28 people were brought to the hospital, of whom 4 are deceased. Doctors are treating the injured. SDM has been sent to the spot to investigate the incident".

The bus fell on railway tracks from an overbridge in Dausa district. Additional Superintendent of Police Bajran Sign said the bus was on its way to Udaipur from Haridwar when the incident occurred at 2:15 am, as reported by the news agency PTI. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident. Following the incident, the track was blocked for train movement.

Last month, a head-on collision between a car and a truck had claimed the lives of seven members of a family in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district. Two people sustained injuries due to the incident. The accident occured when the family was returning home after attending a function, police said as reported by news agency PTI.

Station House Office Ved Pal said the deceased were identified as Paramjeet Kaur (60), Khushvinder Singh (25), his wife Paramjeet Kaur (22), son Manjot Singh (5), Rampal (36), his wife Reena (35) and daughter Reet (12).  The injured, identified as Akashdeep Singh (14) and Manraj Kaur (2), were referred to a hospital in Bikaner. The bodies were sent for postmortem.
