4 Bishnoi Gang Members Arrested For Planning Attack On Salman Khan's Car Using Pak Arms: Cops

Navi Mumbai Police arrested four members of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang for planning another attack on Salman Khan's car using Pakistani arms.

The Navi Mumbai Police said on Saturday that it arrested four members of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang who were planning to attack actor Salman Khan's car in Panvel. The accused had planned to order weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier, police told news agency ANI.

Following this, a First Investigation Report has been registered against more than 17 people including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, Goldy Brar.

The arrested accused have been identified as Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna.

Navi Mumbai police also said that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was preparing to kill actor Salman Khan with the Turkey-made Zigana pistol. The same pistol was also used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Further investigation into the matter is currntly underway, Navi Mumbai Police said.

According to a report by Times Of India, the FIR was filed at Panvel police station in Navi Mumbai and stated that Bishnoi and his accomplice Goldy Brar had plotted the killing of Salman Khan.

They had planned to source weapons including M-16, AK-47, and AK-92 from a Pakistan weapon supplier, the report said.

The development came after four persons were arrested last week in connection with the earlier plot. The police is also looking for another 15-20 members of the Bishnoi gang, who had been staying near Khan's farmhouse since February this year.

On April 14, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside the actor's Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra.

Later, the duo was arrested from Gujarat and another accused Anuj Thapan was held from Punjab on April 26 in connection with the case.

However, Anuj Thapan passed away inside the lock-up's toilet of the Mumbai police crime branch.

Last year, an e-mail threatening Salman Khan was received at his office after which the Mumbai police registered an FIR against gangsters Goldy Brar, Lawrence Bishnoi, and another person under Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 34 (common intention), and 506-ll (criminal intimidation) under the Indian Penal Code.
