According to a report by Times Of India, the FIR was filed at Panvel police station in Navi Mumbai and stated that Bishnoi and his accomplice Goldy Brar had plotted the killing of Salman Khan.
They had planned to source weapons including M-16, AK-47, and AK-92 from a Pakistan weapon supplier, the report said.
The development came after four persons were arrested last week in connection with the earlier plot. The police is also looking for another 15-20 members of the Bishnoi gang, who had been staying near Khan's farmhouse since February this year.
On April 14, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside the actor's Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra.
Later, the duo was arrested from Gujarat and another accused Anuj Thapan was held from Punjab on April 26 in connection with the case.
However, Anuj Thapan passed away inside the lock-up's toilet of the Mumbai police crime branch.
Last year, an e-mail threatening Salman Khan was received at his office after which the Mumbai police registered an FIR against gangsters Goldy Brar, Lawrence Bishnoi, and another person under Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 34 (common intention), and 506-ll (criminal intimidation) under the Indian Penal Code.
