In the letter Kim Sae Ron's mother seems to be referring to the challenges her daughter faced after the 2022 DUI incident.  "Are you in a warm place? Are you feeling better?" As per her, even though spring was approaching, ending the chilly winter, her heart was still frozen due to the loss of her "beloved daughter." She kept the late actress' clothes and other belongings untouched as they included her scent. She asked Kim Sae Ron, "You struggled so much, always saying you would die. Are you at peace?"

“I always told you don’t post pictures. Avoid people and come home. Don’t stay out late. Don’t drink… Looking back, I realize all I ever did was tell you not to do things or be careful, but you were just trying to get through each day. I’m sorry, my daughter. I thought keeping you from doing things was the way to protect you. I kept saying I trusted you, but in reality, I was trying to hide you. I’m sorry,” she added.

Referring to the actress' untimely passing, her mother wrote, “I just couldn’t bear to let you go like this. All I wanted was an apology [from them] for making me out to be a liar and to ensure this never happens again. But all I get in return are words that deny my existence and demands for explanations.”

Kim Soo-hyun's agency files lawsuit

Meanwhile, actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency, GOLD MEDALIST, has filed criminal charges against Kim Sae-ron's family and Kim Sae-eui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute. According to Koreaboo, the complaint stems from the alleged posting of a photo showing Soo-hyun with his pants down at Kim Sae-ron's house, which was shared during a live broadcast on Sae-eui's YouTube channel.

A part of the statement read, "The charges include violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (distribution of footage filmed using cameras, etc). The photo of actor Kim Soo-hyun posted on Garo Sero’s channel was taken during a period when Kim Soo-hyun and an adult, Kim Sae-ron, were in a relationship. The photo contains an image of Kim Soo-hyun’s body that could cause him sexual humiliation, and it is a photo that should neither be made public nor has any reason to be disclosed."

Kim Soo-hyun is embroiled in controversy amid allegations of a past relationship with Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, and claims of pressuring her to repay a 700 million won penalty. Kim Sae-ron was found dead in February, with reports suggesting her career had declined due to a drunk driving incident and mounting debt.
