Purple Cap (Most Wickets): Rs 15 lakh

Emerging Player Award: Rs 20 lakh

Most Valuable Player (MVP): Rs 12 lakh

IPL 2025: Major rule changes for Season 18

The 18th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) will see five key rule changes, with a big update on the slow over rate penalty.

Previously, captains faced a one-match ban for slow over rates, but now they will receive demerit points instead. A suspension will only be imposed in severe cases.

Also, the long-standing ban on saliva usage has been lifted, allowing bowlers to use saliva to shine the ball once again. These adjustments aim to enhance gameplay while maintaining fairness and competitive balance in the tournament.
