Waterlogging was also reported on a section of National Highway 66 between Puttur in Udupi and Kolalagiri Road. The heavy rains led to a car driver misjudging the depth of the water and driving into a bog near the Kannarpady-Kadekaru link road within the Udupi rural police station limits. All four passengers managed to escape safely, and the vehicle was later recovered by Fire department personnel with the assistance of local residents.
