Karnataka Results: Workers Break Into Early Celebrations At Congress HQ In Delhi As Party Leads — WATCH
Congress workers were seen celebrating at the party headquarters in Delhi as the party leads in the early trends for counting of votes for the Karnataka Elections 2023.
As the counting of votes for Karnataka Elections 2023 unfolded, Congress workers were seen celebrating at the Delhi Headquarters office on Saturday. Loud music was being played while the party workers were dancing their hearts out. Congress leads the count in early trends while BJP lags behind by around 30-40 seats.
News agency ANI posted a video on Twitter showcasing the celebrations at the party headquarters.

Congress also tweeted a video of Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra with the song Unstoppable by Sia playing in the background. The lyrics of the song which plays during the video are- "I'm unstoppable. I'm a Porsche with no brakes. I'm invincible. Yeah, I win every single game. I'm so powerful. I don't need batteries to play. I'm so confident. Yeah, I'm unstoppable today"

This comes as a statement from the Congress, showing its confidence in a win in the Karnataka Election.
Gandhi earlier thanked the voters of Karnataka for coming out to vote for a 'progressive future'. He also thanked Congress leaders for their support in organising a well-run, dignified, and solid people-oriented campaign.
Record Turnout
Karnataka saw peaceful voting this year for 224 assembly seats and the voter turnout stood at 73.19 per cent which surpassed the record of 2018 viz. 72.36 per cent. In total, 737 theme-based and ethnic-model polling stations were set up, reported news agency ANI. At 239 polling stations that were welcomed by PwD staff. As a part of the initiative taken by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to inspire the youth voters to participate in the festival of democracy, 286 polling stations were set up and were being run by the youngest staff available. More than 11.71 lakh voters registered in the state to vote for the first time ever.
Significant State elections ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha Polls
This State Assembly Elections election held a lot of significance as it was held almost a year before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This election might prove to be a deciding factor for the general elections next year. The state witnessed heavy campaigning from the BJP as it is the only state in South India where BJP is still in power.
