Hemant Soren Says 'Aansu Nahi Bahaunga', Claims Guv Involved In Arrest Ahead Of Trust Vote
Jailed former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has alleged that the Raj Bhavan was involved in his arrest as the ruling JMM seeks a trust vote today.
Former Jharkhand CM and jailed JMM leader Hemant Soren said the governor was involved in his arrest as he addressed the state assembly ahead of the vote of trust to prove majority. He said, "On the night of January 31, for the first time in the country, a CM was arrested...and I believe that Raj Bhavan was also involved in this incident."
In an emotional speech, he said, "Main aansu nahi bahaunga, aansu waqt ke liye rakhuga, aap logo ke liye aansu ka koi matlab nahi..."
Attacking the BJP, he said that Tribals would be forced to shun their religion as BR Ambedkar was compelled to convert to Buddhism. He alleged that the saffron party considered Tribals as "untouchable".
"Tribals and Dalits are not safe under the present regime in the country… I will come back with more strength. Opposition's conspiracy will be thwarted," Hemant Soren said.
Soren said, "We have not yet accepted defeat. If they think they can succeed by putting me behind bars, this is Jharkhand where many people have laid down their lives."
Vowing to quit politics if documents proving his alleged crime is shown, Soren said, "Today I have been arrested on charges of 8.5 acre land scam. If they have the courage, then show the documents of the land registered in my name. If it is proved, I will quit politics..."
Meanwhile, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren extended support to the former chief minister and said, "Today the whole country is seeing how injustice is being done to Hemant Soren. If you go to any village, you will find Hemant Soren's schemes in every house..."
"I proudly say that I am part-2 of Hemant Soren...," Jharkhand CM Champai Soren said as he addressed the State Assembly ahead of the Floor Test of his government.
"The BJP tried to destabilise the democratically elected Jharkhand government. They used central agencies to frame Hemant Soren in false cases," he said.
"Hemant hai to himmat hai (Where there is Hemant, there is strength)," said Champai Soren.
