'Was 100km Away': AAP Leader Denies Involvement In 'Murder' Of Bajrang Dal Activist During Nuh Violence

A case was registered against AAP leader Javed Ahmed in connection with the alleged killing of Pradeep Kumar at Nirankari Chowk in Sohna town during the Nuh violence on July 31.

New Delhi: Booked for the alleged murder of a Bajrang Dal activist, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Javed Ahmed on Sunday claimed he was “100 km away” from the scene of the incident. Speaking to news agency PTI, he said he has CCTV footage to back his claim. "I was 100 km away from Nuh, and the incident happened three hours after I left. I have the CCTV footage of the toll plaza I crossed. Allegations against me are to malign me and my party, it is political propaganda,” Ahmed told the news agency.

A case was registered against the AAP leader in connection with the alleged killing of Pradeep Kumar at Nirankari Chowk in Sohna town during the Nuh violence on July 31.

Also hitting out at the BJP in Haryana, senior AAP leader in the state, Anurag Dhanda claimed a conspiracy by the ruling party saying a false had been registered against his fellow party leader.

Claiming that the whole country knows who instigates riots, Dhanda said the saffron party was working to implicate leaders of other parties by filing false cases against them.

“A false FIR has been lodged against our leader Javed Ahmed. He was 100-150km away from the scene of the alleged crime. He also has his mobile tower location to plead his innocence. We demand an unbiased investigation to get to the bottom of this matter and ensure that the truth comes out,” Dhanda told ABP News.

Further, questioning the government’s motive, the AAP leader said, “There should be an investigation into why police personnel deployed at the spot were put on VVIP duty. Also, the leaves of many top police officers were approved.”
