The Patna High Court has ruled against re-conducting the 70th BPSC Preliminary Exam. The court has ordered the commission to proceed with the main exam.

BPSC Prelims Exam: The Patna High Court on Friday ruled that the 70th BPSC Preliminary Exam will not be re-conducted. With this ruling, candidates who were hoping for a re-exam have received a major setback. At the same time, the state government and Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) have received significant relief.
The high court has directed the commission to proceed with the main exam, and the date for it has been scheduled from April 25 to 30. Following the Patna High Court's decision, many candidates expressed their disappointment, and reactions started pouring in. Teacher Guru Rahman stated that he would file a petition in the Supreme Court against this ruling.
The 70th BPSC Preliminary Exam was held on December 13, 2024. Only one center in Patna, Bapu Examination Complex, had its exam re-conducted on January 4, 2025. Candidates had demanded a re-exam, but the commission responded by telling the court that all the allegations made by petitioners were false and no irregularities had occurred. The court had then refused to stay the results of the preliminary exam.
The petition to cancel the 70th BPSC Preliminary Exam was heard in the Patna High Court on March 19. The decision was reserved at that time. As the verdict was awaited, candidates had hoped for a favourable decision. However, the court ruled that that the exam will not be re-conducted.
