6 Dead In Massive Fire At Maharashtra Hand Glove Factory, Efforts On To Douse Blaze

Speaking on the fire incident, fire officer Mohan Mungse says, "We got the call at 2.15 am. When we reached the spot, the entire factory was on fire. The local people informed us that six people were trapped inside. The bodies of six people have been recovered. Extinguishing work is in progress.".

Earlier locals had said that five workers were trapped inside the building. "Five workers are trapped inside the building located in Waluj MIDC area," said locals, as quoted by ANI. Speaking to ANI one of the workers at the company said, "There are five workers stuck inside the building".
As per the locals, four of the trapped were identified as Bhulla Shaikh (65), Kausar Shaikh (26), Iqbal Shaikh (26), and Magroof Shaikh (25). According to the workers, the company was closed at night, and they were sleeping when the fire broke out.
"There were 10-15 people inside the building when the fire broke out. Some managed to escape, but others are still trapped inside," they said, as quoted by ANI. As per the officials, the fire engine and fire brigade teams have reached the spot and started their efforts to rescue the people trapped inside the building. "Efforts to bring the fire under control," they said, as quoted by ANI.
