Yuvraj Singh Slams Third-Umpire's Controversial Run-Out Call Against Pooja Vastrakar - Watch Video

Pooja Vastrakar controversial run-out: Team India's former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh on Saturday took to Twitter to criticize India womens cricket team's Pooja Vastrakar being adjudged run-out by the third umpire during India vs Sri Lanka match in the ongoing women's Asia Cup 2022. Not just Yuvraj, fans on social media have expressed their anger and disappointment over the decision. Calling it a 'poor decision'. Yuvraj tweeted," That’ is such a poor decision by the third umpire ! Should have given pooja vastrakar benefit of doubt !!."

The incident took place in the final over of the innings. Pooja Vastrakar was given run-out by the third umpire but the replays showed that the Indian batter had her bat inside the crease before the bails were disturbed by the Lankan wicket-keeper. After seeing the replays, even the Indian batters and Sri Lankan players were ready to resume playing but the third umpire adjudging Vastrakar run-out left everyone perplexed.

Talking about the match, batting first, India women's cricket team scored 150 runs in 20 overs. For India, Jemimah Rodrigues scored 76 and Harmanpreet Kaur scored 33 runs.  In reply, Sri Lankan team got all out after scoring 109 runs in 18.2 overs. India won this match by 41 runs.
