After WPL 2023 opening ceremony got over, captains of all five teams unveiled the prestigious 2023 Women's Premier League (WPL) trophy to the world for the first time.
WPL 2023 Trophy: The inaugural season of Women's Premier League (WPL 2023) got off to a dazzling start in Navi Mumbai. The first match of historic WPL tournament is being played between eth Mooney's Gujarat Giants (GG) and Harmanpreet Kaur's Mumbai Indians (MI) at DY Patil Stadium.

Punjabi rapper AP Dhillon, Bollywood actress Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon entertained WPL fans with their iconic performances in the grand opening ceremony, which was also attended by BCCI President Roger Binny, Secretary Jay Shah and other top officials of the board.
After WPL 2023 opening ceremony got over, captains of all five teams -- Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz -- took the centre stage to unveil the prestigious 2023 Women's Premier League (WPL) trophy to the world for the first time.

A total of five teams are taking part in the first-ever edition of 2023 season of Women's Premier League (WPL 2023). Five teams participating in WPL 2023 are Mumbai Indians (MI), Gujarat Giants (GG), UP Warriors (UW), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). WPL 2023 season will have a total of 20 league matches and two playoff matches.
All WPL matches will be played across two venues - DY Patil Sports Academy and Brabourne Stadium. On March 24, WPL 2023 Eliminator will be played and the WPL 2023 final will be played on March 26 at Brabourne Stadium.

The tournament will be played for 23 days, featuring four double headers. The first double header will be played on March 5, second on March 18, third on March 20 and fourth on March 21.
