Highest run-scorers in Vijay Hazare Trophy: Himachal Pradesh created history on Sunday by beating tournament favourites Tamil Nadu to clinch the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22 title.

In the much-popular domestic tournament, many young batters made headlines with their explosive batting. Some batsmen have even staked claim for the national team with their excellent performances.

Here's the list of batters who have scored the most runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy.

1. Rituraj Gaikwad: The young batter made a name for himself in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 with his explosive batting skills and later went on to score the maximum runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Gaikwad tops the list of batters with most runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy by scoring 603 runs in just 5 matches with help of five centuries. His highest score was 168 runs. He might get picked in Team India for the ODI series against South Africa.

2. Rishi Dhawan: Himachal Pradesh's senior opener Rishi Dhawan is at number two in the elite list after scoring 458 runs in 8 matches. However, he could not score a century in this season and his highest score was an unbeaten 91. He also finished the tournament as second-highest wicket-taker.

3. Prashant Chopra: Himachal Pradesh's talented batter Prashant Chopra impressed everyone with his performance. He played 8 matches in the recently-concluded domestic tournament, scoring 456 runs with a personal best score of 99 runs.

4. Shubham Sharma: Madhya Pradesh player Shubham Sharma helped his team win matches with his brilliant batting. He played six matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 418 runs at a good average. His highest score was 108 runs.

5. Manan Vohra: Team Chandigarh skipper Manan Vohra's also batted well in this season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played 5 matches in this season, scoring 379 runs. During this, his highest score was 141 runs.
