Srikanth, Praneeth, Prannoy to begin their Indonesia Open campaign today

Jakarta [Indonesia], June 14 (ANI): Indian badminton stars Kidambi Srikanth, B. Sai Praneeth and Prannoy H S Kumar will today start their campaign at the men's singles in Indonesia Open Superseries Premier badminton in Jakarta.

While, Srikanth will play Hong Konng's Vincent Wong Wing Ki, Praneeth will face Son Wan-ho of South Korea.

Prannoy will take on Indonesian shuttler Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

In men's doubles event, the Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will clash with Indonesian player Faraz Alfian and Muhammad rian.

In women's doubles event, Ashwini Ponnappa and Reddy N Sikki will play with the pair of Dian Fitriani and Nadya Melati of Indonesia.

Yesterday, ace shuttlers Saina Nehwal and P.V. Sindhu entered the pre-quarterfinals of the tournament.

While Nehwal came out with a splendid performance as she bounced back from a game down to register a 17-21, 21-18, 21-12 win over Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon, Sindhu registered a 21-12, 21-19 win over Chochuwong in a one-sided opening round contest that lasted just 33 minutes. (ANI)
