Sourav Ganguly Health Updates: Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after complaining of chest discomfort.
Doctors performed an angioplasty on BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, PTI reported. Two stents are likely to be implanted to clear blocks in a coronary artery of the 48-year-old. Earlier, the BCCI Chairman underwent several medical tests today, after which a decision will be taken about the next step of treatment. The update on Ganguly's health has been given by a senior doctor in the panel treating the BCCI boss.

"After diagnosing his condition, we have decided to carry out angioplasty," a senior doctor told PTI.
Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after complaining of chest discomfort.
"Mr Ganguly slept well all night. He had a light breakfast this morning. A series of tests will be conducted on him today to decide on the next course of treatment," a senior doctor told news agency PTI.
"Once the test results arrive, we will be able to determine if two stents have to be inserted to open the blocks in his arteries," he added.
The Kolkata Police had built a green corridor to help Dada easily reach the hospital from his residence in Behala. Earlier this month, Ganguly had complained of chest pain while exercising.
As per reports, a nine-member medical team was formed to treat him. A stent was inserted into the veins of his heart after consulting experts such as Doctor Devi Shetty, RK Panda, Samuel Mathew, Ashwin Mehta and Shamin K Sharma from New York.
