'Wanted To Teach Sagar A Lesson', Sushil Kumar Confesses During Interrogation, Reveals He Was Threatened By Dubai-Based Gangster

According to Delhi Police sources, the absconding decorated wrestler was not only trying to escape from the police but was also hiding from one of the most wanted gangsters, Sandeep aka Kala Jathedi. After Sagar Dhankhar's murder, Kala Jathedi Gang was after Sushil Kumar and his associates. Sushil Kumar is afraid that the henchmen of Kala Jathedi gang might attack him in jail.

Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested wrestler Sushil Kumar from near Mundka metro station on Sunday morning. Police were searching for the absconding wrestler, accused of murdering former junior national champion, Sagar Dhankhar, at Chhatrasal Stadium. A special team of Delhi Police had arrested Sushil and Ajay Kumar, the man considered to be Sushil's right-hand, near Mundka metro station when they were going on a scooty to meet one of their acquaintances.

According to police sources, Sushil had run out of money after which he came to Delhi and was in the mood to abscond to Punjab. During the interrogation, Sushil confessed he only wanted to 'teach a lesson' to Sagar Dhankar so that no one would mess with him in the future or consider him weak. The wrestler said he had no intetion to murder him.

Sushil also wanted to make the video of his fight with Sagar. As per the Delhi Police sources, Sushil said that the purpose of making the video was to give a message to everyone to not mess with him but Sagar died during the quarrel. 

Why did Sushil Kumar attack Sagar Dhankar?

According to Delhi Police sources, the quarrel between Sushil Kumar and Sagar Dhankhad was over a flat that belonged to Sushil Kumar, which is in the Model Town area of Delhi. Sagar used to stay on rent in this flat. He was accompanied by a friend named Sonu Mahal, who is considered to be the right-hand of wanted gangster Kala Jathedi. Initial investigation revealed that this quarrel between Sushil Kumar and Sagar started over the rent and evacuation of this flat.

Kala Jathedi gang wants to kill Sushil Kumar?

According to the report in Times of India, wrestler Sushil Kumar also tried to contact Gangster Kala Jathedi, so that he could ask for forgiveness as he had failed to strike a truce in the past 18 days.

The report in TOI suggests, after Sagar Dhankar's death, Sushil Kumar was not much worried about the police or his arrest. He wanted to save his life from the gangsters of the Kala Jathedi gang.

When Sushil Kumar attacked Sagar Dhankhar, Sonu, nephew of gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi, was also present at the spot. Sonu was opposing the attack on Sagar. During the fight, Sushil Kumar also attacked Sonu, after which he suffered serious injuries. Sushil Kumar also had connections with the Kala Jathedi gang, which took a U-turn after the killing of Sagar Dhankhar and attack on his nephew Sonu.
