Indian skipper Virat Kohli praised New Zealand players after the game. He said that New Zealand have fit bowlers who manage to sustain a good rhythm for a long time. The Indian batting lineup succumbed to below-200 scores in the last six innings against the Kiwi bowling attack.

Kohli lauded New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson, who dismissed the Indian skipper in both innings. Kohli said: "Jamieson is a good bowler. I have faced many bowlers like him in my career. The extra height, I think, gives him a distinct advantage. It is difficult for batters to face him when he is in his rhythm."
