Pro Kabaddi League 2019, Preview: UP Yoddha Vs Gujarat Fortunegiants
Gujarat Fortunegiants as a unit has been great in the defence. The team has a Tackle SR of 51 and it is the best Tackle SR for a team this season.
Gujarat Fortunegiants have been undefeated against UP Yoddha in PKL. In their first meeting in PKL 7, Gujarat won by 25 points beating UP Yoddha 44 – 19. It is Gujarat’s biggest win this season. Gujarat Fortunegiants were dominant in both raiding and defending outscoring UP Yoddha. In raiding, Gujarat scored 23 raid points to UP Yoddha’s 12 and in defence Gujarat scored 14 tackles points to UP Yoddha’s 5.

For UP Yoddha, Shrikant Jadhav was the top raider scoring 5 raid points and Nitesh Kumar was top defender scoring 2 tackle points.
Nitesh Kumar and Sumit have been the defenders for the team picking up bulk of the points. Similarly Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal have been initiators in the defence for Gujarat Fortunegiants. Both these defensive pairs have scored at an average above 5 tackle points per match and also have a minimum Tackle SR of 55. Each of these pairs have scored 5 HIGH 5s each.
Sumit has been the one of the best defenders of the season. He has scored 43 tackle points this season and is 3 rd best in the league.
