Watch: Ramiz Raja Tries To Snatch Indian Journalists' Phone For Question On Pak's Asia Cup Loss

Ramiz Raja got miffed with an Indian journalist who asked Ramiz what message he has for Pakistan's people who must be sad and disheartened after Pakistan's final loss in Asia Cup.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Asia Cup final 2022: Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja has been in the headlines recently for his straightforward opinions and for giving away some sensational statements in his fiery press conferences. Cricket fans have liked the new " no-nonsense" avatar of Ramiz ever since he stepped down as PCB chief but it seems this time he went overboard while interacting with an Indian journalist after Pakistan's humiliating defeat to Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2022 final.

Fans and some journos circled Ramiz as he was leaving Dubai international stadium following Pakistan's defeat in the summit clash. The former Pak player got miffed with an Indian journalist who asked Ramiz what message he has for Pakistan's people who must be sad and disheartened after Pakistan's final loss in Asia Cup.

Indian Journalist asks Ramiz: "Awam badi nakhush hai. Unke lie koi sandesh?

Ramiz Raja replied: "Dekhie aap India se honge, aapke (awam) toh bohut khush honge."

Indian Journalist says: "Hum khush nahi hai."

Ramiz Raja: "Kaunsi awam?"

Indian Journalist: "Maine dekha hai Pakistan k logo ko rote hue jate. Kya main ghalat bol raha hu Ramiz bhai?"

Ramiz Raja: "Aap awam ko generalise kar rahe hai."

After this, Ramiz even tried to snatch the journalist's phone.

Sri Lanka scripted history on Sunday by defeating Pakistan by 23 runs in Asia Cup final. Pramod Madushan (4/34) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (45-ball 71*) were the standout players for Sri Lanka. The mighty Lankan Lions have had a great journey in Asia Cup, undoubtedly a lion-hearted campaign. In Group stage, the islanders suffered a loss to Afghanistan and attained a win against Bangladesh in Group Stages to enter Super-4s. They went on to win all its Super Four phase matches against Afghanistan, India and Pakistan.
